People often ask me why I have chosen to name my blog and photography business K Kalon Photography instead of my name, Katie Horst. The honest answer is that I want my photography as well as my business to reflect more than just simply who I am or what I do.

I have been blessed with the soul of a wanderer. There is no greater joy to be found than to pick up my camera, go out my door and find myself on an adventure. Sometimes adventures look like photographing a wedding... sometimes they rise before me in the form of a volcano... Either way this blog is a little space to share my stories with you.
